The spotted ragged tooth sharks (Carcharias taurus) reach lengths of up to 4.3 meters. As their name suggests they are covered in darker spots and these spots can be used to identify each one. They prey mostly on fish, smaller sharks, rays and squid. They are social animals and have complex courtship behaviour.

Other species to see on the dive

Possibly hammerhead sharks (in season), a variety of reef fish, moray eels, rays and other reef sharks.
