Bimini Hammerhead Sharks

The trip: Journey into the world of sharks, immerse yourself to understand their behavior, language and our relationship with them and their world. This is a special trip under the direct guidance of Cristina Zenato, known for diving and leading shark dives in The Bahamas for the last twenty-eight years. Enjoy a special day with Cristina’s local shiver of Caribbean Reef sharks, explore the differences between species and surface with a new appreciation of the word “sharks”.
Paired with a series of educational evenings, Cristina will guide the journey to knowledge and understanding and for some to the discovery of beauty beyond fear. The dives will offer a mix of sharks and the exploration of some unique dive sites around the island of Grand Bahama.
Dive depths: Most diving is between 10-15 meters/30-45 feet. Two dives 30 meters/100 feet.

Cristina Zenato
A professional diver since 1994, Cristina is an active shark behaviorist, passionate underwater cave explorer, a champion for ocean conservation, underwater photographer, speaker and writer. She is known for her special relationship with her local Caribbean Reef sharks, removing hooks from their mouths and her passion for promoting the protection of all sharks in the world Cristina’s work can be summarized in three words: Exploration, Education, Conservation. A member of the Women Divers Hall of Fame and The Explorers Club, she is a firm believer in the power of education and spends her time teaching below and above the water.
